Crippen Buick GMC Mazda Volvo has designated a cross-functional team that is dedicated to develop and support a "greener" work environment in order to contribute to a cleaner and safer planet for our future.

• Seek to promote and educate all employees on the ideas and changes made towards a "greener" effort.
• Work on strategies to operate more environmentally responsible including, but not limited to, reducing usage of certain materials, and recycling others.
• Promise to consider the opinions and feedback of our guests and fellow employees when examining our environmental programs and procedures.
• Lay the groundwork for future cross-functional teams with the focus in mind as Crippen Buick GMC Mazda Volvo continues to strengthen its efforts to me an environmentally conscious organization for years to come

Our Efforts Today For a Greener Tomorrow

• Installed high efficiency interior and exterior light fixtures
• 30% reduction in energy usage results in reduction of 22 metric tons of carbon
• Installed programmable controls of lights and HVAC systems
• Created dealership wide recycling program
• Our recycling efforts prevent 1250 cubic yards of waste from going to a landfill each year
• Policies in place to reduce usage and waste of paper products
• Every two cartons of paper saved by our reduction efforts saves one tree
• Use of V.O.C. free waterborne paints in our body shop
• Conscious efforts to minimize environmental exposure to volatile materials in our service department
• Conduct energy audits to identify potential energy saving opportunities
• Each ton of paper we recycle can save 17 trees, 380 gallons of oil, 4,000 kilowatts of energy, and 7,000 gallons of water

This year our service and body shop will recycle, 7 tons of metal, 11,700 gallons of oil, 9 tons of rubber, 286 batteries, and 655 gallons of coolant.
